A men’s basketball team in Los Angeles sought an identity rooted in boldness and nostalgia—expressive, yet controlled.
Drawing from the founders’ energy, I developed a system that introduces play and character within a structured framework. Influenced by the visual language of Warner Bros. animation and the work of Tex Avery, the direction uses exaggeration and rhythm, balanced through disciplined form.
The process prioritized range within constraint, allowing exploration without compromising cohesion. The result is a distinct identity that maintains personality while operating with clarity and control.
